01A home workout with no equipment
Push-ups mainly work your chest, triceps and shoulders, and you can do them anywhere. REP RUSH only needs your iPhone and a little floor space: no dumbbells, no bands. It is a gamified workout app built around a single exercise, not a complete strength programme.
02Short, clear goals
Start a game of 5, 8, 12 or 20 push-ups. When you first open the app, your goal and weight set a 56-day program: each week’s challenge steps up, and you can pick your own challenge in the settings. These are game goals, not a medical programme.
03Motivation through gameplay
Lower to help the hero dodge an obstacle and rise to collect coins. At the end, see your reps, trophies and coins. Nine arenas to unlock and your city’s leaderboard give you a reason to come back.
04More than a push-up counter
Many push-up apps show a number and a timer. In REP RUSH, the camera counts your push-ups and every rep moves the hero: you see the barrel pass, the coins drop and your trophies climb. The counter is there, but the game is what makes you want one more set.
05What the camera follows
After calibration, the front camera estimates your high and low positions. Processing stays on your iPhone: REP RUSH neither stores nor transmits camera images. The app does not measure muscle growth or assess your entire exercise form.
06Fit a game into your own routine
A short run can be an active break or part of a routine you already follow. XP reflects progress in REP RUSH, not a health metric or guaranteed physical transformation. Stop if a movement hurts.
